March 1st 2013 Idita-READ kick off at Tremont and NEH schools

Jill is a BLUE team mascot and Rissa (and Lily) are GREEN team mascots at Tremont and at NEH Jill switches to the RED team and Rissa stays GREEN.

I went to NYC and the Westminster Dog Show this week. What fun! Jill and Lily went and stayed at Nancy B's house (original home) and Rissa stayed with local friends and Cirra (Great Pyr)... I gathered them all yesterday... the cats are glad to have the house back to normal/everyone home. Cirra's brother, Beren, completed and won best of breed - photo of Beren.

Lily had her first Therapy Dog evaluation today - Cortland Living Center in Ellsworth. All went fine. She is a bit shy with the unknown but when she has that first experience - she settles just fine.

Lily retired here in December. She is a black lab, 7 years old and she is Rissa's Grand daughter. She is quite sweet and has adapted well. She taught herself the spiral stairs within 1 hour of being here BUT - she did not know how to come down them... so just a few lessons and she now goes up and down ad lib. She is fascinated with the cats. She has picked the best seat in the house to make her own - right in front of the wood stove! We go on 1/12 for our first therapy dog evaluation. She will be spayed after the evaluation. One of her last pups in the crock photo.
