Wednesday, March 25th

READer dog at Somesville library - busy - all our slots were filled and Cirra's too. We had non stop kids from 330PM - almost 6PM - double teamed. The children's room still isn't quite finished so we all were in the big reading room. Alex got a book for reading 10 to Timber/Cirra. Anna got a book for her first time with the dogs. Olivia got a book for reading 10 to Timber/Cirra! In a year and a half - we have gone from 1 dog and 2 kids to 2 dogs and 12 active kids that read to the dogs!

March 19th

Timber had a great day at school - she is becoming far more animated with the kids - interacting quite a bit more as they read to her.

Friday, March 13th

Rissa was VERY busy today with visits! We saw loads of folks at the hospital - patients and staff... we were 30 minutes late to the retirement village because we had so much demand at the hospital. Rissa never missed a beat and loved EVERYONE! Her manners and gentle ways are unbelievable to watch - she does bring so much joy to those she visits. We attended the beginning of the 2PM singing activity and she made her way around the room as the music started. Was cute.

Thursday, March 12

Timber went back to school today after being away from her 1:1 readers for 4 weeks! (We had group reading before their vacation, they had vacation and then I did - so... 4 weeks) She was very animated and into the kids reading today - a lot of interaction for Timber!

Puppy Pails

Puppy pails - Another READer dog team and I are making these to sell to support buying books for the kids. I made the fabric ones as our first attempts and Pier made the screen one - and we just had to have a 9 week old Chi Chi puppy in the pail - Tim - was cute! We have several ideas and designs - time will be the issue as to how elaborate we get. Hope to sell them in a store in Bar Harbor this summer.
